History of Vác FC:

The club was founded on the 28th November 1899 as Váci SE.

Váci SE  became Váci Dolgozók TK and then joined the Hungarian Professional Football League in 1948 after winning two Regional Championship titles in 1913 and 1924.

After joining the professional league, a team known today as Vac FC spent a sustained amount of time in the first division, although the team was relegated to the Second Division, coming back to the top tier in 1987 having won the 2nd Division championship.

Vac FC had a golden period during the 90’s when they were sponsored by ‘Samsung’. We were known as Vác FC-Samsung and during that period we were Champions of Hungary winning the 1st Division title in 1994. We were also runners up in the 1st Division in the years 92 & 93. During the same period, we were runners up in the Hungarian Cup in 92 & 95.

Vác FC have competed in several European Competitions in their recent history. We competed in the UEFA Champions League in 1994-1995 season, UEFA Cup in 1991-1992, 1992-1993, 1993-1994 seasons, and UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1995-1996 season.

It is clear from our illustrious recent past that with the right partners and commercial support, Vac FC can rise again to the upper echelons of Hungarian football and compete at the highest level.
